Dehydrated fruits are pieces of fresh fruit from which their water content has been extracted, preserving the nutritional properties of the natural fruit and enhancing its flavor. The dehydration process consists of letting the papaya dry in the sun so that it loses the water it contains, although this process can also be carried out industrially, using hot air to remove the water. Dehydrated papaya contains vitamins A, B6, B12, C and D, sodium, potassium and magnesium, making it an important source of beta carotene. Among its properties we can point out laxative properties, antioxidants, it facilitates digestion and helps fight gastrointestinal problems, in addition to having a low caloric intake but a large number of nutrients. They can be consumed at any time of the year, given their ease of storage and conservation at room temperature (they do not require refrigeration).
