    PECANS

    The pecan nut is the fruit of the pecan, a fruit species belonging to the group of nuts, from the same family as the common walnut. It is a tree native to the southern United States, spreading through Texas and northern Mexico.

    Pecans are similar to common walnuts, but longer and with a smooth shell. They have a pleasant flavor and a high nutritional value, and have a content of healthy fats similar to that of the common walnut.
